Week 5: August 6 - August 10
This week is brand new. If you like Camp 603 during the day, you're going to love every minute of the week with your camp family. Daily adventures will continue similar to day camp but campers will gain an unmeasurable amount of personal independence, confidence, and priceless learning experiences about the outdoors. Camp 603 will take "a tour of NH" by traveling to different NH State Park camp grounds to rest our heads. This week all meals are provided. Meals will be cooked and created by our counseling team based on camper dietary needs. Campers will be given campsite preparation and cooking lessons, along with basic survival skills while on overnights. You don't want to miss out on this great small group overnight camp experience.
Crawford Notch State Park (Monday) has 5,775 acres providing access to numerous hiking trails, waterfalls, fishing, wildlife viewing, and spectacular mountain views. Crawford Notch State Park is rich in history with the famous Willey House.
Pawtuckaway State Park (Tuesday) offers a variety of landscapes, with something to do and see for everyone. The park includes a large family beach on the lake. There are many opportunities for hiking, with trails leading to many special points of interest, including a mountaintop fire tower; an extensive marsh where beavers, deer, and great blue herons may be seen, and a geologically unique field where large boulders called glacial erratics were deposited when glacial ice melted near the end of the Ice Age.
Milan Hill State Park (Wednesday & Thursday) is located ten miles north of Berlin near popular areas for hiking and more. From this hilltop campground and the fire tower located there, you can get a complete view of the mountain ranges in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Canada.
